Retinal Screening

This service is provided by the PCT. If you have any concerns regarding Retinal Screening appointments please telephone: 01268 464616.  

Minor Injuries Service 

The Practice now has a Minor Injury Service.  Patients can access the service during surgery opening hours. 

If you have an injury that requires treatment (eg sprains, minor lacerations, RTAs, minor head injuries etc), please contact the receptionist for information. You will be referred onto the hospital if the clinicians feel it is more appropriate. 

Can Your Pharmacist Help? 

The Practice operates a Minor Ailments Scheme please see the Pharmacist for details. 

Your Pharmacist is your most accessible high street health professional.  He or she will have had to obtain a Degree in Pharmacy (3 to 4 years at University) and passed entrance qualification examinations to be able to practice. 

As well as being on hand to answer any questions you may have about your prescription medications, your Pharmacist can provide treatment and advice on many minor ailments that may not require you to visit your G.P.  Many powerful medications are now available without a prescription.  Your Pharmacist can help select the medication best suited for you, based on your ailment and other medications, which you may already be taking. 

All this without even making an appointment! 

If the Pharmacist thinks your complaint needs prescription treatment or is of a more serious nature, then they will refer you to your G.P.

Private Patients

Patients not eligible for N.H.S. services but who require the use of the surgery facilities will be asked to pay for these services. An estimate of the minimum cost can be made available on request. Please note that fees will be payable on completion of services.

The Practice does not operate a credit card system and therefore we cannot accept payment by credit or debit cards. Cheques are accepted with a valid bankers guarantee card, in addition further proof of identity may be required

Referral to Hospital - Hospital Choice

The Practice operates Choose and Book which is a national electronic referral service giving patients a choice of place, date and time for their first outpatient appointment in a hospital or clinic providing they have appointments available.  The hospital you choose may be anywhere in England or you may decide to choose a  local hospital.
